Expanding westward, Lake Havasu City

When it partnered with Lake Havasu City, the Lake Havasu United School District and the Lake Havasu Foundation for Higher Education, Arizona State University formed a community partnership that would bring the university to western Arizona. Phase 1 of ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu City, which included the renovation of a middle school, opened in Fall 2012, enrolling its first class of 70 students. This year, a new computer lab and additional faculty offices were added.

β€œIt is such an important achievement for Lake Havasu City leaders, the community and the university – all of which worked tirelessly to make this a reality for the betterment of the city and the state of Arizona.” – David Young, director of the ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu City
