Small community, big opportunities

Since its founding 25 years ago, Barrett, the Honors College has emerged as one of the preeminent residential honors colleges in the nation. Named after Craig and Barbara Barrett, whose $10 million gift endowed the college, Barrett sets the standard for the country’s top honors experience that combines a small, intellectually and socially vibrant community with the vast resources of a major research university.

“The goal of attracting the state’s best students to ASU and Barrett is being achieved and we are now focused on broadening our appeal and reputation in the rest of the nation and the world beyond. We are well along that path.” – Mark Jacobs, dean for Barrett, the Honors College
