Students create mobile maternity clinic for Kenya

Student entrepreneurs Susanna Young, Clay Taylor, Billy Walters and Gabrielle Palermo had a dream. Create and develop a solution for delivering quality health care to communities that don’t have access. G3Box – Generating Global Containers for Good – was born and that dream is becoming reality. The first mobile maternity clinic is complete and being shipped to Kenya. G3Box recently merged with International Medical Equipment Collaborative and the clinic will be run by Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Global Health group and medical school. The idea for G3Box initially emerged from student endeavors in the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering and was developed through the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative.
