Supporting and mentoring others are said to be two of the hallmarks of a good leader. In Rebecca Kuhn’s life, her affinity for cultivating the skills of those around her has propelled her to a successful career. Kuhn, who graduated in 1974 with her bachelor’s degree in nursing, entered hospital administration in 1987 and became one of the first female hospital CEOs at Paradise Valley Hospital in 1995. Today she is president of the Arizona East Region for Banner Health, and she has the CEOs of six hospitals reporting to her.
