Influential in American Indian education
A national study recognized Arizona State University as one of the most influential universities in American Indian education. Professor John Tippeconnic, director of American Indian Studies at ASU, was also named one of the most influential people in American Indian/Alaska Native education. ASU has one of the highest American Indian student populations in the nation, and is home to the American Indian Policy Institute that serves as a resource for research, community partnerships and entrepreneurial endeavors that connect Arizona’s tribes and tribal nations throughout the country with the university.
